How do I find the value of x

Is there a specific question where you have to find the value of x? if not I'll just give an example.

say you have 2x=30
you would divide the coefficient (which is 2) on both sides. You'd divide 2/2 which equal to 1 & 30/2 would equal to 15 so your answer would be x=15.
