In addition, diseases brought by Europeans raged throughout the New World where people had no resistance, killing tremendous numbers of natives. Columbus's voyages also led to negative effects in Africa. Eventually, Europeans who came to the Americas decided that they needed labor to work their American plantations.

Classify the decimal expansion of each fraction as a terminating decimal or a repeating decimal
Agata [3.3K]

Hello there!

terminal: 60/120

Repeating: 56/72 21/22 11/121

Remember: Terminating decimals end, repeating decimals don't (and go on forever.)

To find which are which, divide each fraction out.

56/72: 56 divided by 72 = 0.77777777777... (going on forever, making this repeating)

21/22: 21 divided by 22 = 0.95454545454.... (going on forever, making this repeating)

11/121: 11 divided by 121 = 0.0909090909 (going on forever, making this repeating)

60/120: 60 divided by 120 = 0.5 (ending at that, making it terminal)

So this means that only one of them, 60/120, is terminal and the rest are repeating. I hope this helps and have a great rest of your day! :)

Finger [1]

In 1787, the Constitutional Convention delegate's worked for about six hours a day, all through the summer. Therefore, C is the correct option.

What was the constitutional convention of 1787?

The constitutional convention of America officially started on May 14 1787 to 24 September 1787. The constitutional convention met regularly in order to frame the first written constitution of the world. The constitution fathers decide in this convention how the United States of America would be governed. Many participants of the conventions had much bigger plans for the country although many wanted to only modify the existing articles of confederation for the time being.

Thus, throughout the summer of 1787, the delegates to the Constitutional Convention put in about six hours per day of work. C is therefore the best choice.
