Are you doing a French storyboard project, because I’m doing LITERALLY the exact same thing. I just started French in the beginning of this school year, but I suggest using WordReference, it WILL help you

this was the futur simple


Futur avec "être" doesn't exist. The "futur poche" <em>(near future) as "to be </em>going to + verb" = "aller(<em>présent tense)</em> + verb". Hope that's what you're asking for...

FUTUR PROCHE <em>(near future)</em>

Mon ami va se réveiller demain.

Il va manger demain.

Il va jouer demain.  (ll va jouer le match demain).

Il ne ne va pas aller à l'école demain.

Il ne va pas jouer dans la neige demain.

Nous allons parler demain.



Near future in English = be going to + verb

futur proche in French = aller + verbe infinitif

ALLER <em>(présent) + verbe</em>

je vais            + <em>inf.</em>

tu vas<em>             + inf.</em>

il/elle/on va    <em> + inf.</em>

nous allons     <em>+ inf.</em>

vous allez        <em>+ inf.</em>

ils/elles vont     <em>+ inf.</em>
