Tectonic plates cause volcanoes, earthquakes and mountains to be formed. If an earthquake or volcanic eruption occurs, it will most definitely destroy any crops and plant in its path, and mountains will take up too much room. So if tectonic played shift, it could possibly ruin your chance to grow crops in your community/ country
