____ [38]3 years ago
5 0
X intercepts-

6x - 3(0) = -6

6x = -6

x = -1

Y intercept:-

6(0) - 3y = -6
-3y = -6

y = 2

X intercept is where the line crosses the x axis or where y=0
y intercept is where the line crosses the y axis or where x=0

so

6x-3y=-6
x intercept
y=0
6x-3(0)=-6
6x=-6
x=-1
x intercept at x=-1 or the point (-1,0)

y intercept
x=0
6(0)-3y=-6
-3y=-6
y=2
y intercept at y=2 or the point (0,2)

Name a pair of corresponding angles
Gnoma [55]
<h3>Corresponding angles = angle 1 and angle 5</h3>

They are on the same side of the transversal cut (both to the left of the transversal) and they are both above the two black lines. It might help to make those two black lines to be parallel, though this is optional.

Other pairs of corresponding angles could be:

  • angle 2 and angle 6
  • angle 3 and angle 7
  • angle 4 and angle 8

=======================================================

<h3>Alternate interior angles = angle 3 and angle 5</h3>

They are between the black lines, so they are interior angles. They are on alternate sides of the blue transversal, making them alternate interior angles.

The other pair of alternate interior angles is angle 4 and angle 6.

=======================================================

<h3>Alternate exterior angles = angle 1 and angle 7</h3>

Similar to alternate interior angles, but now we're outside the black lines. The other pair of alternate exterior angles is angle 2 and angle 8

=======================================================

<h3>Same-side interior angles = angle 3 and angle 6</h3>

The other pair of same-side interior angles is angle 4 and angle 5. They are interior angles, and they are on the same side of the transversal.

What is the surface area of this design? 5 in 5 in 6.4 in 5 in 9 in
xeze [42]

ANSWER

197 {in}^{2}

EXPLANATION

The area of the two tra-pezoidal faces

= 2 \times  \frac{1}{2}  \times (9 + 5) \times 5 = 70 {in}^{2}

The area of the 5 by 6.4 rectangular face

= 6.4 \times 5 = 32  {in}^{2}

The area of the two square faces

= 2(5 \times 5) = 50 {in}^{2}

The area of the 9 by 5 rectangular face is

= 9 \times 5 = 45 {in}^{2}

The surface area of the design is:

70 + 32 + 50  + 45=197 {in}^{2}
