Which of the advantages that the Confederacy enjoyed at the beginning of the Civil War was the greatest and provided the largest
guajiro [1.7K]

The main advantage that the South had at the beginning of the war was its large army and well-trained generals. The Confederacy, from this perspective, appeared more capable of winning the war at the beginning of the conflict. Moreover, as most of the fighting was carried out in the South, they also had the advantage of knowing the territory.

I do not think that the South failed to exploit its initial advantages. The Confederacy fought extremely well during the early stages of the war. However, the North's advantages were finally just greater. The South relied on agriculture, which was rendered unviable during the war. Moreover, it had a much smaller population, and its workforce was destroyed after emancipation. All of these put the Confederacy in a particularly difficult position.

1. The British had exhausted their resources (army and money) and didn't have the required manpower pool to keep the British Raj from functioning.

2. The Indians was felt they deserved independence after helping the British after WW2 in the North African campaign and other theaters of war.

FYI: I only know about WW2 history, so sorry if they are other reasons.

MA_775_DIABLO [31]

Answer:

Abolition)

People that were freed from the slave trade started to speak up about their experiences, write books about the things that happened and just overall let people know the brutality of it all. People like William Wilberforce and Frederick Douglass were also big parts of the slave trade abolition.

The actual slave trade)

As the word about the slave trade went around, more and more people were being bought as slaves. Typically people if colour, and people that were all-round poor and couldn't afford a better lifestyle. Some people were born into slavery because their parents were slaves or their parents had debts to pay.
