When Whitlock Clothiers began overseas operations, top management had to learn to appreciate the _____ environments of other cou
Paraphin [41]

Answer:

The response is cultural environments.

Explanation:

When a business begins to conduct business overseas, they have to take into consideration the cultural differences that exist in the country where they are beginning operations. The local population will likely have different behaviors and beliefs when it comes to work culture and even in terms of the acceptance of a new product in their market. One example of a cultural difference is how in the United States people generally are very uncomfortable with silence so a long pause in a business meeting is considered rude or being under-prepared. In Asian cultures like Korea or Japan silence is not considered the same way and people often remain silent without it necessarily signaling a problem. In Korea pauses are allowed for contemplation of something said.

The movement of continents has affected weather patterns by _______.
laiz [17]

The correct answer is - d. all of the above.

The movement of the continents plays a very important role in the global climate patters. The movement of the continents, their location on the globe, creating mountain ranges, are all factors that have very big importance in the creation of the climate.

For example:

If the continents moved in a way that none of them has land mass on or in close proximity to the poles, it will shape the climate in a way where it will be much more humid, with more precipitation, and the world will be dominated by tropical rainforests.

But, that is a scenario where the continents are not merged. If they move in the manner that they all merge, than only the coastal regions will be like that, while the interior will be occupied by vast, hot, dry deserts because it will be too far away from the influence of the oceans.

And of course we have the mountains. If there isn't mountains in a certain, place, it means that the air masses can easily pass through, but if there is, than they will be stopped, and will influence only the part to which the mountains are, but on the other side of them, thy will have little to no influence.
