Problem solving involving communication, identification as well as working together with other managers to take on more complex problems within the organisation make this skill a necessary skill for a public relations officer to have.
The problem solving facilitator, especially has a key function of working together with other managers in an organisation to solve problems faced by the organisation.

It also helps to develop the history, ethics, and philosophy of public relations and how they relate to customer relationship management.
