Sputnik I was the world's first ever artificial satellite that launched by the Soviet Union in 1957. This marked the start of the "space age" which pushed the race between the US and the USSR in the field. Because of this "competition", many scientific discoveries were made to study and even travel to outer space.

Occupants of New Netherlands were European pilgrims, Native Americans, and Africans imported as slave workers.

New Sweden was a Swedish province along the lower compasses of the Delaware Stream in America from 1638 to 1655. It was part of the Swedish endeavors to colonize the Americas. New Sweden was vanquished by the Dutch Republic in 1655 during the Subsequent Northern War.
