No one answered the ad but me. In this case the word BUT is functioning as an adverb meaning EXCEPT. Usually, in this constructions the word BUT is preceded by no one, nobody, everyone, everybody, everthing, or nothing. There is but one choice to make in this case. In this case, the word BUT is also functioning as an adverb meaning MERELY or NOTHING BUT. Sadie said she would go but she had to bring her sister. In the last case, the word BUT is working as a conjunction or coordinator, and it's linking two clauses together to make a single sentence. Sadie said she would go it's the main clause and she had to bring her sister is the subordinate clause.

Ne4ueva [31]
You have to write this for yourself. no one else can tell your story the way you can. start with the town or city. talk about your house, and your home environment. sports, pets, favorite part of the town and least favourite part? it’s your story to tell, be creative with it!

hope this helps :)

I need a story on how to describe the difference between affect and effect need help ASAP
AVprozaik [17]
Most of the time, you'll want affect as a verb meaning to influence something and effect for the something that was influenced. The difference between affect and effect is so slippery that people have started using "impact" as a verb instead.
