An amendment can be added to most tribal constitutions as long as it is passed by a majority vote during a tribal election.

A constitutional amendment refers to a change of the constitution of a polity, organization or other sort of entity.

In order to enact the amendments to most constitutions, they have to pass a particular procedure that is more stringent than that required of ordinary legislation.

The particulat procedures required in order to amend some constitutions have been so exacting, that some proposed amendments have been passed over periods of decades.
