A rock that has deformed Elastically under stress keeps its new shape when the stress is released.

In elastic deformation the original shape of the object is regained when the stress is removed. Whereas in plastic deformation the original shape is permanently deformed with the application of stress.

Complete the sentences below that describe the process of dune movement. Note that some terms will remain unused. View Available
zysi [14]

Answer:

1. Wind bounces and rolls sand along the ground, a process called saltation.

2. Sediment carried by the wind will drop to the ground when the wind's velocity decreases.

3. The force of the wind pushes particles up the windward slope of the dune as it moves.

4. The force of gravity allows particles to slide down the leeward slope of a dune as it moves.

Explanation:

Saltation is the process which involves the movement of the particles by the force of wind or water. The wind or the water removes the particles and carry them forward. Materials like pebbles and stones get carried away by the flow of water. The large particles get settled in the river bed.

In the diagram below , triangle LMO is isosceles with LO=MO . if angle LL=55 and angle NOM = 28 what is angle N
Eva8 [605]

Answer:

The measure of angle N is equal to 27\°

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The triangle LMO is an isosceles triangle

therefore

LO=MO

and

m

see the attached figure to better understand the problem

we have that

m

so

m

Remember that

m -----> by supplementary angles

Find the measure of angle OMN

55\°+m

m

The sum of the internal angles of a triangle is equal to 180\°

In the triangle OMN

m

we have

m

m

substitute and solve for m< NMO

28\°+125\°+m

m
