<u>Children have fewer responsibilities in school as compared to when they are in college. In school, children have to be more responsible for their learning whereas, at university, children are not closely monitored or directed by the lecturers in “what” and “how” to learn. </u>

Further Explanation:

Children have more “freedom” whether they attend classes/lectures or not or whether take notes or not. Students will be assessed and at least clear and pass their set “assignments” and “examination” to show to the University that they have completed or fulfilled the “course requirements” adequately to progress further. However, children in the university have to be “self-directed” and be “responsible” for their own knowledge and learning.

At School, learning for students is mostly “teacher-directed” and “closely monitored” by the teacher. Children have less “freedom” to decide whether they can skip classes or not. If they do so, they have to provide valid reasons for their absence.

In this transitional period, students learn to cope up and deal with the challenges. Whereas, what a child learns in school is the foundation for what he would learn in university.

Public schools have a manifest function to educate youth and have many latent functions such as helping socialize children. Brie
abruzzese [7]

Answer: Sorting, staying of the streets, organizing in groups

Explanation:

The latent function is considering those functions who are not recognized or hidden, it is not intended by the involved people. They are unintentional and some latent functions are coming from the educational system which we can recognize.

  • Some of the latent function is sudden organizing when it is necessary or for example when it is raining outside in school while the ceremony is lasting.
  • There are other latent function, outside the school, for example like keeping the students of the street and bad decisions or creation of the generation gap.
  • We have also sorting as the latent function, we can see that in every school. The student is sorting based on potential or something else.

The primary impact area of the Dust Bowl, as it came to be known, was on the Southern Plains. The Northern Plains weren`t so badly affected, but the drought, dust, and agricultural decline were felt there as well. The agricultural devastation helped to lengthen the Great Depression, whose effects were felt worldwide. The Dust Bowl was a period of severe dust storms that greatly damaged the ecology and agriculture of the American and Canadian prairies during the 1930s; severe drought and a failure to apply dry-land farming methods to prevent the aeolian processes (wind erosion) caused the phenomenon.
