Answer:

The man who should sing this song isn't here right now.

Explanation:

The third answer choice replaces the pronouns with nouns: <em>man</em> (he) and <em>song</em> (it). Also, the relative clause (<em>that should sing it</em>) refers to the subject of the sentence in question but is placed at the very end. The third answer choice moves it to the position next to the subject "the man": The man <em>who should sing this song</em>...

“Who is More Heroic: Odysseus, Penelope or some other character from the Odyssey?” Be sure to cite evidence from the text to sup
Juliette [100K]
In the Odyssey it is very clear that there are a lot of heroic charctors indubitably since the book is an epic. One character stands out as having the most noble and honorable trait that is Penelope she is an honorable and faithful wife who is waiting for odessyous return from the war. A scene in this book that demonstrates this best is when penople making Odessyous burial should while really its trying to prevent a marriage to another man on the island so she can remain true to Odessyous. You may say that she doesn't do much like save lives or slay giant Cyclopes but what makes a hero it's the noble qualities the deeds they do how they stand up for what they know is right therefore I say the must heroic hero is in fact Penelope.

If you were on the jury during this trial and were asked to take notes on the evidence provided, what would you have documented
Zarrin [17]

Answer:

What I would have noted would be:

  • Mayella has a difficult life.
  • She hired Tom for a job and guaranteed to pay him a nickel.
  • Did Mayella really offer Tom money?
  • Tom raped her when she went to get his payment at home.

Explanation:

Mayella is a character from "To kill a mockingbird". In her testimony, she states that she hired Tom Robinsson, a black man, to beat an old man. She says that she would pay a nickel for the service and that he agreed, but when she went into the house to get the money, Tom followed and raped her. Mayella also claims that she leads a difficult life taking care of her brothers and father who has problems with drinking.

About this testimony, the jury can write down important information, about how Mayella has a complicated life, why she got in touch with Tom and how Tom managed to get into her house.

Answer:

man vs. self

Explanation:

The primary conflict in “The Most Dangerous Game” can be considered one of man vs. man, as Rainsford attempts to outrun and outwit the sadistic Zaroff, who hunts humans for sport. This conflict also includes elements of man vs. nature, as Rainsford is at the mercy of the elements on Ship-Trap Island and tries to use his jungle surroundings to his advantage. In addition, a man vs. self conflict is present in that Rainsford struggles with his own fear.
