A speculative principle could be that what will happen in Vancouver BC if the big earthquake hits ie that if that occurs when we are driving over a high bridge it could be fatal if the bridge collapses. A practical principle could be that, say, cars need regular maintenance because their parts get worn and tires wear and the spark plugs get carboned up necessitating tune-ups etc.
