C. The introduction of horses from Europe transformed hunting and transportation.

Horses were introduced by the Spanish and became useful for tribes hunting nomadic animals like buffalo. The horse was also used for warfare which changed the pace and strategy of war between tribes and with the Europeans. Native Americans could also use horses to travel between the winter and summer camps as well as allowing them to travel between tribes more quickly.

The Columbian Exchange moved items between the Americas and Europe following the first contact with Christopher Columbus. Corn, pumpkin, potatoes, tomatoes, and turkey were all introduced to European society. Domesticated animals, disease, wheat, and rice were all brought to the Americas by Europeans.

IceJOKER [234]

Answer:

The acquiring of the territories gave the United States justification to send out immigrants into those territories and settle the land along the trails created by traders and trappers beforehand. These immigrants and other workers then set up the Transcontinental Railroad to facilitate trade and transport back and forth from the west coast to the east.
