I know I accidentally cropped out some of the excerpt so after and it says “ finally made them understand that if her child had

a few hours’ rest and a little bit to eat she would be all right. In the end we did get through.”

It provides an interesting firsthand experience of an immigrant who "did get through" Ellis Island.

I was stuck between the first one and the last one, but i finally chose the last one. Idk if it's right or not, i'm sorry.
