Civilizations have always tended to develop in regions with specific geographic features. The River Valley Civilizations developed around major river systems. The civilizations sprung up around the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. The rivers provided water for domestic use and agriculture. The flooding of these rivers provide fertile soils for the development of agriculture. Harrapa and Mohenjo-daro flourished because the flooding of the rivers provided fertile soils for agriculture and this facilitated the development of permanent settlements and to the development of these civilizations.

Why do you think the area around the pacific plate is called the pacific ring of fire?
valentinak56 [21]
This area is located on a convergent plate boundary where oceanic crust collides with continental crust. Because the oceanic crust is more dense, it sinks into the ground and heats up. It thus becomes a volcano as it rises back to the surface. This process is known as subduction.

The Earth rotates about an imaginary axis that passes two different poles. ... So, the equator experience more angular speed that tries to pull off the part of the Earth from the rotational axis.
