Gary Paulsen Dog's Best Friend . Mr. Paulsen is the guy who's telling the story, and in case you haven't noticed, he's a big fan of dogs. I am—I say this with some pride and not a little wonder—a "dog person." I make no excuses for unabashedly loving them—all of them, even some that have bitten me.
Answer:
The most frequent reading strategies I use are summarizing and questioning. Summarizing represents a reading strategy where a person interprets the text by using his/her own words, different from those which are used in an original text.
On the other hand, questioning represents a reading strategy where the student learns through making questions about the text and seeks the answers in the text.
I would say that interacting with a text means analyzing the text actively, in order to understand what we have read.
I think my reading strategies help me interact with a text on many different levels. For example, when I use summarizing, I interact with a text by reinterpreting it by using my own words, so I could say it brings me the opportunity to show that I'm capable of understanding the reading material and that I've paid attention to all the important segments.
When I use questioning, I involve with a text by asking myself questions that are helping me to fill the gaps in my knowledge and understand parts of the text where I was confused or inattentive.
