Rather easy Hungary wanted more land (so did Germany) and they where backed by Germany. Hungary attack Serbia which was beginning to militarize and was also backed by Russia(soon to be USSR) and thus they started fighting to defend/support their allies. France had also allied with Russia then France declared war on Germany, the Germans had a 2 front war to fight. France was also backed by Britain another world class super power at the time. and thus began the first world war. I got a bit off topic there but I hope this helps!

Elis [28]

Answer:

1) The Crusades were organized by western European Christians after centuries of Muslim wars of expansion. Their primary objectives were to stop the expansion of Muslim states, to reclaim for Christianity the Holy Land in the Middle East

2)In November 1095, at the Council of Clermont in southern France, the Pope called on Western Christians to take up arms to aid the Byzantines and recapture the Holy Land from Muslim control. This marked the beginning of the Crusades

3)After four Crusades, the Muslims won control of the Holy Lands. However, the crusades resulted in increased trade in Europe and the development of towns.

Explanation:

4) While the Crusades ultimately resulted in defeat for Europeans and a Muslim victory, many argue that they successfully extended the reach of Christianity and Western civilization. The Roman Catholic Church experienced an increase in wealth, and the power of the Pope was elevated after the Crusades ended

What role did the idea of states rights play in the Clvil War?
DochEvi [55]

Answer:

Although states' rights wasn't the main reason for the Civil War, the idea played a significant role because the Confederacy felt like they weren't being given the opportunity to decide what was best for their states, even though the Constitution gave all states that right. Furthermore, the South felt especially threatened at the idea of stopping the spread of slavery or abolishing it all together because their economy was dependent on slave labor. Slavery was the main reason for the Civil War, and the main reason why Southern states wanted to secede from the Union and join the Confederacy.
