Well first lets examine the reading. i like to highlight and add notes. lets think about this. if the charecter is talking about money, maybe there is an issue with the family's money. but at the end the charecter syas something very specific. lets see if you can figure it out by examining the kast sentence and adding a note! :)

I know of one newspaper worth $76 million (sale price) in 1990 and it was worth $18 million in 2001 (sale price). This was due entirely to the mismanagement of Donrey and Media News. The internet was not even present for half the decade and irrelevant in the other half.
