I would say Mehndi art is mostly expressed with lines. Curvy and straight lines are commonly used to link the pattern together! These designs are often repetitive to form unity throughout the entire design. For example, a mehndi design of a flower will have the same pattern in each petal to show unity. I'd say the entire concept of Mehndi art relies on pattern and repetition!
