<h2><u>Answer:</u></h2>

The nightingale was being contrasted with a singing-feathered creature, without a transgression.

nightingale is contrasted with great men though sparrow is contrasted with the terrible man.

Similarly great and terrible, men, Sweet or Bitter, or Satan.

Good Man-Is in every case great, feels and do great to other people, so I contrast Nightingale and a decent man.

Bad Man - Do just awful and poor things to his environment and to other people.

So sparrow is contrasted and an awful man.

The main idea of a poem is also known as
dsp73
A theme (also known as a motif) is the main driving idea behind a poem. A theme or motif is not a summary of the poem, or a detail from the poem, but rather the emotion or motivation behind the poem. The theme might be "unrequited love" or "the power of traditions," but it wouldn't be "putting up walls between property lines," or anything else that specific.
