monument to the heroic ideals of New England life, which are jeopardized in the present just as the statue itself is shaken by urban renewal.Images of black children entering segregated schools reveal how the ideals for which Shaw and his men died were neglected after the Civil War. The poem’s final stanzas return to the aquarium. The poet pictures Shaw riding on a fish’s air bubble, breaking free to the surface, but in fact, the aquarium is abandoned and the only fish are fin-tailed cars. This poem is a brilliant example of Lowell’s ability to link private turmoil to public disturbances. The loss of childhood in the early section of the poem expands to the loss of America’s early ideals, and both are brought together in the last lines to give the poem a public and private intensity. The poem is organized into unrhymed quatrains of uneven length, allowing a measure of flexibility within a formal structure.

Vladimir [108]

Answer:

A lion is dangerous than a rabbit.

A rabbit is smaller than a dog.

A crocodile is dangerous than a hippopotamus.

A hippopotamus is heavier than a gazelle.

A gazelle is beautiful than a hippopotamus.

A gazelle is nervous than a rabbit

Explanation:

A lion is a wild animal while a rabbit is a domestic animal. So wild animals are more dangerous than domestic animals.

The rabbit's body size is smaller than a dog's body size.

A crocodile is more dangerous than a hippopotamus because they have sharp teeth s and are faster than the hippopotamus.

Hippos have barrel-shaped bodies with short legs and long muzzles. Their skeletal structures are graviportal, adapted to carrying their enormous weight, and their specific gravity allows them to sink and move along the bottom of a river. So they are heavier than a gazelle.

A gazelle is beautiful than a hippopotamus because hippos have rough, tough and barrel-shaped body. A gazelle is of average height with horns and a little bit long legs.

A gazelle is nervous than a rabbit because Gazelles are nervous and flighty animals that when handled can inflict serious injuries on themselves and their handlers while for the rabbits, when danger is perceived, the general tendency of rabbits is to freeze and hide under cover. If chased by a predator, they engage in quick, irregular movement, designed more to evade and confuse than to outdistance a pursuer. Other than loud screams when frightened or caught by a predator, the only auditory signal known for most species is a loud foot thump made to indicate alarm. Rabbits don't hurt themselves or the predator like the gazelle does.

The "this" to which the poet refers in the final line is "the poet's art," which means that, as long as his poem exists, people will remember that person.

What is the poem about?

"Sonnet 18" by Shakespeare is a poem about a beautiful woman with whom the speaker seems to be in love. The speaker tells her that her existence and her beauty will always be remembered, that they will never fade.

What the speaker means is that, as long as that poem exists and people read it, they will remember that woman's life and beauty. She is being immortalized in the poem.

Thus, when the speaker says in the final line, "So long lives this and this gives life to thee," the word "this" means the poem, the art that will keep her memory alive.

With the information above in mind, we can choose option B as the correct answer.
