I wrote this to you because I want a cochlear implant because I am deaf, and it has always been my dream to her the radio on a rainy day. To her you speak. I want to gain independence for myself I want to be able to hear the birds chirping and the sound of the old truck starting up.
I want to be looked at as someone who can hear when you call my name I don't want to be the "deaf girl" like how I was in school.
