What was the difference between the goals of the Coronado expedition and the La Salle expedition?

Social Studies

Answer:

The main difference between the Coronado and La Salle expeditions was the purpose with which each expedition began.

Thus, Coronado carried out his expedition to the southwestern United States with the objective of claiming those territories for the Spanish Empire, territories that had already been explored and in which it was expected to discover native cities full of wealth.

Instead, La Salle carried out his expedition along the Mississippi River with the goal of discovering the territories adjacent to it, and claiming them for the Kingdom of France.

Thus, while the La Salle expedition had a merely territorial and expansionist objective, the Coronado expedition had as its main objective the discovery of sumptuous wealth in the explored territories.

slamgirl [31]

Answer:

Licenses, Fees, Permits, Fines and Penalties.

Explanation:

For a particular country or state  (as Texas in this case), the Statement of Government Operations represents the real breakdown of the revenues from its budget. That's like an income statement from the state. Few governments may offer it various terms but others may be more open and clear. Apart from the direct taxes, the State's revenue comes from the sale of public assets, or lotteries, grants, and contributions from the federal government, licenses, fines, permits, and penalties.

What is the summary of George Lakoff's Moral Politics? Each Chapter
kolbaska11 [484]

Lakoff argues that the differences in opinions between liberals and conservatives observe from the truth that they subscribe with one-of-a-kind energy to two special valuable metaphors about the relationship of the kingdom to its citizens. both, he claims, see governance via metaphors of the family.

Robin Tolmach Lakoff (/ˈleɪokayɒf/; born November 27, 1942) is a professor emeritus of linguistics at the college of California, Berkeley. Her 1975 e-book Language and woman's area is frequently credited for making language and gender a primary debate in linguistics and different disciplines.

Lakoff advised that those variations she noticed were part of 'girls' Language' and become preferred visible as not as good as men. The 'Deficit version' refers to how this language use contributes to women's lower status and weaker function in society.

Which version of the sentence below most clearly describes a joyful moment of hard-earned success? i clutched the certificate ti
kirza4 [7]

<em>Answer: "the certificate, with its glowing gold and crimson seal, felt like a blazing sword lighting the path before me."</em>

Out of all the sentences, this is the one that has both elements of joy and of accomplishment. It also contains a promise for the future.

The first sentence conveys some nervousness and anxiety, not joy. The second one, though it has some joy on the side of the family, still conveys nervousness. The third one shows joy fully. However, it does not portray the certificate in a good light. It feels "heavy." It does not imply happiness or hope for the future.
