17. How did cultural diffusion most likely affect the development of early civilizations? (1 point)
Elena L [17]

Cultural diffusion most likely affected the development of early civilizations by interacting groups shared skills and ideas that improved farming practices. It was aimed to retain food supply on hand for use later.

EXPLANATION:

There are social, political, and environmental traits of early civilizations. You can see the explanation below:

a. A new social order

Around 12,000 years ago, human societies began to function very distinctively from before. Instead of only depending on hunting or gathering food, many communities created systems to produce food. Around 10,000 BCE, humans started to build agricultural villages. Another important effect of such new social order was the evolution of the concept of ownership; differing to band-hunter-gatherer migration, farmers invested a lot of their time and energy in cultivating certain lands, and therefore they were devoted to them.

b. Larger social group formation

In some parts of the world, comprising the valleys of the Tigris-Euphrates, Indus, Nile, and Huang rivers, denser and larger communities started to emerge. These huge communities of people are signified as complex communities or civilizations, which has many features, comprising having a dense population, social hierarchy, agriculture-based economy, division of labor and specialization, monuments, centralized government, record-keeping and writing records, and belief systems complex.

c. Formation of governments and social classes

Civilizations suggest pictures of stone walls, roads, and monuments, but they are more than strong physical infrastructure. To accelerate the administration and organization of these dense communities, large, people started to create social infrastructure: political, economic, and religious organizations that generated new social hierarchies. These hierarchies were inhabited by people who play special roles, for instance, professional administrators, craftsmen, farmers, merchants, traders, and spiritual leaders. Besides, because of increased trade and disagreements with external civilizations, cities needed diplomats, centralized rulers, and armies.
