President Franklin D. Roosevelt addressed his Four Freedoms speech on June 7th of 1941. During his speech Roosevelt stated that all people of all nations shared the same four freedoms: freedom of speech, expression, worship God, from want and from fear.

With this, he wanted to convince the Congress that the US should abandon the foreign policy of neutrality because Hitler’s regime was dangerous and hurting people. He defended that the US should take a stronger interventionist role on WWII.
