The Declaration of Independence was written by Thomas Jefferson.

Thomas actually wrote it but he took ideas from Benjamin Franklin and other people in his committee on what to actually write.

King Henry VIII in the 1500's wanted a divorce from his first wife Catherine of Aragon.
