[|] Answer [|]

\boxed{The \ Volcano \ causes \ the \ Earthquake}

[|] Explanation [|]

       When a Volcano erupts, the tectonic plates beneath start to move and slide. This is what causes the Earthquake.

The Earthquake is not **Directly** caused by the moving magma (A.K.A. Lava.) The Magma does play a part in it, but the magma itself does not cause the Earthquake.

Here is what happens:

       The Magma starts to shove upward and out the top. When doing this, the pressure starts to push and thrust itself out, causing the tectonic plates below to crack, split and move around. When doing this, this causes the Earth to split, causing Earthquakes.

Why is the best definition of directional selection
Anna35 [415]

Directional selection does the “heavy lifting” of evolution by tending to move the trait mean toward the optimum for the environment.

7. Slime molds are fungus like protists, but they are not fungi. Why?
MrMuchimi

Answer:

Because they can move

Explanation:

Fungi cannot make food themselves so they depend heavily on hosts. Also fungi lack the proper cilia to move, so they use spores instead to "move".

In the case of slime mold, they are like an animal fungus per se. They are like Protozoa in their amoeboid plasmodial stage and similar to true fungi in spore formation.
