It will take Annabelle 4 hours to complete her homework. If it took her 3 hours to finish 75%, then it probably took her 1 hour for every 25% she finished. If she finished 75%, she has 25% left to be done or 100% complete. 25% = 1 hour. So 3 hours + 1 hour = 4 hours or 100% complete

If f(x)=x+3 and g(x)=x-3 find (f-g)(x)
maw [93]

Answer:

(f-g)(x)=6

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

f(x)=x+3\\g(x)=x-3

To find  (f-g)(x)

Solution:

In order to find  (f-g)(x) we will subtract the function g(x) from f(x)

So, we have:

(f-g)(x)=f(x)-g(x)

Plugging in f(x) and  g(x) in the above combinations of functions.

(f-g)(x)=(x+3)-(x-3)

Simplifying by removing the parenthesis and reversing the signs of the terms in the parenthesis after the negative.

(f-g)(x)=x+3-x+3

Combining like terms.

(f-g)(x)=x-x+3+3

∴  (f-g)(x)=6

Help, answer one that hasn’t been answered
SVEN [57.7K]

4x + 2x = < y

This is because the opposite sides (which is 4x and 2x) of a triangle add up to the exterior angle (<y).

We have to find X.

As you know:

3x + 4x + 2x = 180

because the angles of a triangle add up to 180.

When we add them:

9x = 180

x =  \frac{180}{9}

The 9 is multiplying with the X. We want X only and not 9 with it. So, when we take 9 to the other side, it becomes divide. As a result, the answer to x is:-

x = 20

Substitute value of x into 4x and 2x to find the exterior angle:-

4x:

4(20) = 80

2x:

2(20) = 40

When we add them we get the answer for angle Y:-

80 + 40 = 120

Therefore, we can conclude that:

< y = 120 \: degrees

How many solutions are there in 1/2 (10x + 15) – 3/2 = 2x + 6 + 3x
goldenfox [79]

Answer:

Value for x cannot be deduced

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve this question we will have to open the bracket first...we will solve using bodmas rule

1/2(10x+5)-3/2=2x+6+3x

Open the bracket

5x+5/2-3/2=2x+6+3x

Let's collect the like terms

5x-2x-3x=6-5/2+3/2

Lcm for the right side is 2

0=12-5+3/2

0=10/2

0=5

Therefore the value for x cannot be deduced due to the fact that x has been cancelled when solving

G>=5, so anything above or equal to 5 would count. So, you could use 5, 6, 7.
