Native Americans were hunter-gatherers, so they saw land as hunting territory, where Europeans saw it as farmland and land to settle on. The native Americans would move around the land to hunt the animals and thus didn't claim land, but the colonist saw it as their land, so it was more important for them.

containment was the US' attempt to prevent the spread of communism. they implemented things such as NATO which gave the western countries a defense team against communism, the Marshall plan which helped European countries recover after ww2 which stopped them from being vulnerable enough for the communist countries to take over. (they also used military force as seen in vietnam but its not a policy)

Colombia has a perfect soil and climate for wide variety of crops to grow. But , there is no proper construction of roads to many areas in colombia. This make it really hard for the locals to sell their crops product to another territory in order to obtain profit.

The presence of Cartels and corrupt government only made matters worse. Currently, drug-related product made up around 25% of Colombia's export. This number was really staggering and show how much power that the criminal organizations have in Colombia. Many people there believe that they have no other choice to find a way to earn a living beside working for these organizations.

Experts believe that fixing the roads will help this problem. It provides many different alternative for the people to earn a living beside involved in drug trades.
