1.The verbal phrase in this sentence is option A: Frightened by the siren.

2.The verbal phrase is a participle: option B.

3.The Verbal Phrase Functions As an adjective. Option C

The verbal phrase is a participle (past participle) because it ends in ED. A participle is a form of a verb that can be used in compound tenses of the verb. There are two participles in English: the past participle, which usually ends in '-ed', and the present participle, which ends in '-ing'.

A phrasal verb is a verb that comprises more than one word. In this case it functions as an adjective because it is describing the subject.

That's not the case!  A healthy diet protects from diseases like obesity, heart disease, diabetes, cancer and stroke. Many people have a diet consisting of saturated fats, trans fats, and sugars. People may use excuses such as, healthy food doesn't taste good and so on. You should always consider your body's health and what you put in it! Within a week of eating healthier, you'll notice that your energy level has gone up. You'll be getting better sleep and managing all the activities of the day like a pro.
