When I am assigned an essay or paper I usually use a five paragraph format or the "hamburger." First, comes the introduction, the 3 body paragraphs then the conclusion. For me, each body paragraph explains one of the three ideas I put in the thesis statement in the introduction. The conclusion is not necessarily a paraphrased version of the introduction but extra facts of "fun" facts with a concluding line that leaves the reader with something. Usually the conclusion is my major roadblock. Sometimes it is coming up with a thesis statement.

Which two lines in this excerpt from Arthur Conan Doyle's "The Contest" suggest that Emperor Nero was ruthless? An hour later th
GrogVix [38]

ANSWER: The two lines that shows that Emperor Nero was ruthless are:

1. “Bring him to me here this instant,” said he, “and let Marcus with his knife and branding-iron be in attendance.”

and

2. "I have half a mind to burn their town about their ears so that they may remember my visit."

These were the two lines from the excerpt which states the ruthlessness of Emperor Nero. He wanted to kill the man because he became more popular than him amongst the common people. Emperor Nero could not bear this popularity which is why he wanted to burn the village down to make his presence remembered.
