Answer:

The phrase that connects the sentences above is "in addition".

Explanation:

"In addition" is used for adding an extra piece of information to what has already been said or written. In the sentence above, the first part describes what the coach made these people do. Then, the second part adds more information as regards the class. Therefore, in addition is the correct option. Because is used to introduce the cause of something, the reason. However is used to introduce a statement that contrasts with or seems to contradict something that has already been said. Finally, consequently is used as therefore to introduce the result of an action.

What is one significant quote from the book that stuck out to you? Explain what the quote means.
Veronika [31]

Answer:

a. My example would be from 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, where, though I still remember the book fairly well, I haven’t read it in over a decade, but I still have crystal clear recollection of the line when they’re on the ship at the start and spot the “monster” and the Captain I believe it is is yelling for the gun to be fired and he yells a bunch of orders and finishes with:

“And five bucks to the man who hits the infernal thing!”

And for some reason that quote stuck with me, despite it not being a super important one or related at all to most of the story.

b. Repeat or copy out (words from a text or speech written or spoken by another person).
