One major cause of the Pearl Harbor attacks were the unanimous American opinion to join the war, where before that point America didn't want to have anything to do with the war.

Another effect of the Pearl Harbor attacks was a trading embargo America placed on Japan, hurting their economy.

Desiderius Erasmus lived during a time period of significant change in 1500's Europe. This rebirth, or awakening, was being felt around the known world.
