Answer:

Since this is a question with multiple questions, I will answer each one with a short explanation, if it applies.

1. Yes. In this sentence: "It´s doubtful that it will rain", " Es dudoso que vaya a llover", the subjunctive, a grammatical structure that would be equivalent to modal verbs in that they establish possibility, certainty, wish, etc., needs to be used to express such a thing.

2. The best answer to this question: ___ la verdad, since its an informal command, it would use the first option, therefore, it would be thus: Di la verdad. This option would be the correct one because it is the only one that actually expresses a command and in a personal, and therefore informal, way.

3. In this case, the form of the sentence is grammatically correct, because the structure is allowed. If translated, it would be: "Come with me".

4. Although the most exact translation for this sentence would be: "Yo solía (used to) ir al parque todos los días...", the one sentence that best approaches to the ideal, given the structural composition would be A: Yo iba al parque todos los días cuando era niño.

5. Again, the best translation for the sentence: You ate my apple, would be "Tú te (you) comiste mi manzana", the one sentence that approaches the ideal would be D: Tú comiste mi manzana.

6. Technically, in this case, both A and B would apply, and the difference would be on the level of familiarity with a person. In the first case, A: ¿Has tratado de bucear? would be used with a person who you are familiar with, as it is highly personal. The second choice, B: ¿Ha tratado de bucear? would also be acceptable if you are not too familiar with the person you are asking. Both would be grammatically correct and the equivalent to the sentence in English.

TelenovelaComposition Activity Composition Textbook Icon person InstructionsEscribe el diálogo para una escena de una telenovela
AnnyKZ [126]

Answer and explanation:

By solving this exercise we’ll be practising two pretty important parts of a new language acquisition: on one hand, it will help us practising and improving our vocabulary inventory, which is a fundamental part of being a competent speaker; and on the other, we’ll be in contact with the culture that speaks the language that we’re learning; this is really important because different social groups have different ways of expressing their thoughts and beliefs, so it is presumable that if we are not contextualized we’ll probably be in trouble with some word’s meanings.

WHAT IS A TELENOVELA?

A telenovela (soap opera) is a fictional story made to being watched by television; it is thought to be presented in episodes and it is common to watch them in T.V; telenovelas are related to dramatic situations in which the protagonist of the entire program have many problems and difficult situations that maintain the audience interested in the narrative. In Hispanic culture has telenovelas really present and there exists a lot of these television programs, whose argument is usually the same: a girl/boy that is poor and, by some coincidences, his life change a lot.

TOP FIVE OF SPANISH TELENOVELAS :

 • Lo que la vida me robó
 • Yo soy Betty la fea
 • La usurpadora
 • Amar a muerte
 • Mi pecado

Now, we´re asked to write a telenovela’s dialogue in Spanish. It will involve a romantic situation among Mirta, Daniel and Raúl; notice how we’re using verbs in past tense.
