Okay, so basically it’s the ratio of damaged to undamaged toys. which means that damaged is ‘3’ and undamaged is ‘17’. what i would do, is that i would:

17+3=20

200/20=10

so, ‘1’ refers to 10 toys. therefore we multiply the amount of undamaged toys by 10 which would get u the answer

10x17=170

which, equals to 170 undamaged toys.

i hope this helped u :)

The tallest living man at one time had a height of 259 cm. The shortest living man at that time had a height of 65.6 cm. Heights
snow_lady [41]

Answer:

Therefore the shortest man of 65.6 cm was more extreme.

Step-by-step explanation:

A z-test is a statistic test. It is used to determine whether two population mean are different when the variances of the population are known and the sample size large.

z=\frac{x- \mu}{\sigma}

z= the standarized z score

x = the height of sample

μ = mean  = 172.27 cm

σ = standard deviation = 8.82 cm

For tallest

x = 259

z= \frac{259-172.27}{8.82}

  ≈9.83

For shortest

x= 65.6

z= \frac{65.6-172.27}{8.82}

  ≈ - 12.09

The most extreme value has a z score that the furthest from 0.

Since -12.09 is further from 0 than 9.83.

Therefore the shortest man of 65.6 cm was more extreme.

A student says that the square root of 7 is a rational number because it can be written as [The square root of 7] over 1. Is the
Brut [27]
Let's start by defining what a rational number is. It is a number that is expressed as a fraction. It could also be in decimal form, but only in circumstances when the decimal places are exact and not continuous or repeating. Let's take for example √7. Its exact value is 2.645751311. The decimals places are random and continuous that's why it can't be expressed into fraction. But if the decimal for is, say, 0.25, that is rational because it can be expressed to 1/4.

Now, the reason where it could be a fraction by using a denominator of 1 is invalid. All whole numbers have a denominator of 1. It is implicitly defined because any number divided by 1 is equal to the number itself. This is not a basis for a characteristic of a rational number. Therefore, the student is incorrect.
