gayaneshka [121]

Answer: Both Laertes and Fortinbras act without delay and with determination while Hamlet struggles in a sea of indecision. Fortinbras is decisive and warrior-like whereas Hamlet vacillates and is much more peace-loving.

Fortinbras is more focused on the honour of his country, Norway, but all Hamlet cares about is killing his fathers murderer. Hamlet's morals slow down the process of his revenge whereas Fortinbras' firm attitude makes him act faster.

What premonition does Romeo have in scene 1 lines 1-8? How is his premonition ironic?
Arisa [49]

Hi. You did not inform the text to which this question refers, which makes it impossible for it to be answered. however, I will try to help you as best I can.

It is possible to see from the context of your question that you are referring to "Romeo and Juliet," which, as you may already know, is a play written by Shakespeare that depicts the tragic romance between Romeo and Juliet, the children of two enemy families. In act 5, Scene 1 of this play, we can see a moment when Romeo makes a premonition. In this scene, he dreams that Juliet meets him, but he is dead, but she kisses his lifeless lips and makes him relive. In the last Act of the play, Juliet does indeed kiss Romeo's dead lips, but he doesn't come back to life.

The gods and goddesses play a central role in story of The Iliad. Describe in complete sentences at least TWO examples from Book
MakcuM [25]

These two examples of how the gods intervene in the lives of humans come from Book 1 of The Iliad.

The first example is that of Apollo. When Agamemnon takes Chryseis, a beautiful maiden, for himself, her father asks for her back. He even offers to pay a significant amount for her, but Agamemnon refuses. Chryseis's father asks the god Apollo for help, and Apollo decides to send a plague to the Greek camp, which leads to the death of many soldiers.

Another example is that of goddess Athena. When Agamemnon sees that he might be deprived of a woman, he asks Achilles to give him his own, a maiden named Briseis. This causes Achilles to become extremely angry, and he even considers killing Agamemnon. However, in order to defuse the situation, the goddess Athena intervenes and succeeds in preventing the duel.
