The president of the United States of America who also provides the speech.

What is the time/place of creation?

The year of 2018, America after Parkland shooting, Federal Gun Control Act of 2020.

Who is the intended audience?

American citizens. As an example of political communication related to a fictional gun control law.  

What is the main idea?

Create a law that will help ensure citizens' safety by requiring strict background checks on every gun purchase. Though the 1968 law was convenient for gun-control activists, many were disappointed it didn’t include a registry of firearms or federal licensing requirements for gun owners the request had been floating around the Congress for several years.

What is the context?

On February 14, 2018, a gunman opened fire at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, killing seventeen students and staff members and injuring seventeen others

Is there bias? If so, explain.

It is biased to provoque fear as it states clearly "an act that will keep our country safe from the growing danger of gun violence."

Accuracy in the text? Explain.

There is accuracy because there is  a mention of facts and data and the different groups of gun owners including "Hunters and responsible gun owners".
