Alright so, lets start with the comparing part of this essay. Metaphors and similes both compare two different things are the same, so like "My heart is like an open highway" and like "Life is a highway". They both compare 2 things that are different and make them similar to each other. So for the contrasts, basically similies use as or like to complete their comparing part. They will always use them when they are using similies. But on the other hand metaphors DO NOT use words such as like or as. That's for the similies. You also have to state that metaphors are way more subtle than similies because they aren't using like or as.

Simile has like or as ex as fast as a snake or fast like a snake
metaphor doesn't have like or as ex he's a snake
compare are what's the same
contrast is what is different

Nezavi [6.7K]

Answer:

While there are many difference that present themselves when comparing the essence of the Civil Rights Movement and the world for which we live in today, there are a significant amount of parrallels. The most vivid example of the mirroring circumstances is the continuous fight for the rights of African-Americans. During the Civil Rights Movement, the social and economic mobility of African-Americans was achieved after continuous fighting, similar to todays Black Lives Matter movement. Throughout the year 2020, the rights for African-Americans to be treaty with equality was a continuous act and protest which will hopefully result in a Civil Rights Movement success.

11. How did you use eye contact, the volume of your voice, clear pronunciation,
Rainbow [258]

Answer:

If you have direct eye contact with people during the discussion it will show that you are confident in your answer and people will also be confident in your answer. If you talk loud then people know that you're confident in your answer, but if you talk low then people will think that you aren't confident in your answer. If you have clear pronunciations then people will understand what you're saying. Lastly, if you have a good speaking rate then people will understand what you're saying and believe what you're saying.
