Answer:

The correct answers are A. Artists organized the main objects in paintings using the pyramid configuration; B. Artists depicted religious subjects within heavenly settings; E. Artists gave figures a pleasing proportion and ideal beauty, and F. Artists studied anatomy to make the figures in artworks look lifelike.

Explanation:

Renaissance means “rebirth” in English and it refers to Italian art production comprise the XV and XVI century. It receives this name because it considered the of the Greek-Roman values in arts and philosophy retake, after the Catholic Church hegemony during the Middle Ages. There were artists that followed the Renaissance style in other European countries, but critics tend to consider that it’s a particular Italian expression, as in that country it reached all artistic media (like painting, sculpture, architecture, etc.).

The rise of Renaissance is due to the artists' emancipation and their specialization in many science fields, but also the discovery of many Greek-Roman remains in Italy and the translation of many philosophers’ thesis to the Florentine dialect, which gave the artists access to a previous knowledge that was kept only inside the Church’s institutions.

The painting has become one of the most important productions during that period and it was influenced by Greek-Roman frescos and sculptures. The use of the canons, or the metric, in art has become a rule for artists, as their paintings should have the ideal beauty as a standard.

With Maths used allied to art, the artists have discovered the use of the linear perspective, giving the images the lifelike sensation. Science has been incorporated into their studies, as anatomy should be used to pursue body perfection in its proportions. Verossimilarity was in vogue, in other means, the compositions should be as much close to nature’s reality. The use of the sfumato technique, which was the gradual transition of the subject and background colors, was another important canon that could give the painting real resemblance.

Pagan themes were constantly painted, but as Church commissioned most of the art production of that period, Biblical passages and characters were widely depicted. They were painted in perfect human features and to differ them from worldly figures, those artists used to add heavenly settings in them, like halos and wings. As painting has assumed a communicative meaning between the Church and its followers, the narrative of those subjects' lives would have to transmit the message easily. One discovers that would the pyramid configuration, which highlighted the main character of those paintings. Those changings transformed the relation between images and observe in western culture and they still influence currently.

Which era saw various noble figures emerge as well-known composers?
garri49 [273]
This era was known as the Middle Ages. One of these noble figures was Hildegard von Bingen. Hildegard of Bingen, also known as Blessed Hildegard and Saint Hildegard, was a German abbess, author, counselor, linguist, naturalist, scientist, philosopher, physician, herbalist, poet, channeller, visionary and composer. Elected a magistra by her fellow nuns in 1136, she founded the monasteries of Rupertsberg in 1150 and Eibingen in 1165. She is a composer with an extant biography from her own time. One of her works, the Ordo Virtutum, is an early example of liturgical drama. She wrote theological, botanical and medicinal texts, as well as letters, liturgical songs, poems, and the first surviving morality play, while supervising brilliant miniature Illuminations. :) (That's just extra info in case you're interested!)<span>
