English poet John Milton published a work in 1649 advocating the people's right to execute a guilty potentate, head of state or monarch, that book is <em>"The Tenure of Kings and Magistrates"</em> in a time of political turmoil; Milton differentiates between a king and a tyrant and expound the need for laws that limit rulers' power, justifying with it the previous execution of <em>"Charles I"</em><em> </em>in England.
