Look at the excerpt from "How to Think Like a Researcher," a chapter from How to Find Out Anything. More to our purpose, we need
kherson [118]

Hello, I could probably answer it more surely if the question was provided in its original format. But for how it was presented, I believe the answer would be C. A callout.

A callout (or call-out) in publishing is a short excerpt within a bigger text, somehow highlighted to call the reader's attention out to that part, specially. It can be a short string of text with its words connected by lines, dots, arrows, or similar, a sentence in bold separated from the text, or written in a different format, usually in a larger font. - This one is very common in magazines and newspapers. (and I believe this is the type that was presented on this excerpt original format).

Which component is necessary to create an effective and debatable thesis statement?
Verizon [17]

Answer:

The component that is necessary to create an effective and debatable thesis statement is a specific claim about a particular subject that must be proved with evidence

Explanation:

The objective of a thesis statement is to directly answer a specific question and to make a claim, after presenting this idea the readers or audience can present counterclaims which will make the thesis statement debatable and in order to be effective the thesis needs to be supported by sufficient evidence after the counterclaims questioning.

Can someone create a essay on the similarities between the two storys "Loser" and "At Dusk"??? Please?
irinina [24]

Answer:

Loser and At Dusk...

both are amazing stories let's compare them.

so first, Loser is a tender story about Donald Zinkoss, a young character who demonstrates great self-acceptance and who is not afraid to fail. With the encouragement of his family, he learns to approach life with a positive spirit and to enjoy all that it has to offer.

Now about at Dusk. 'Dusk' by Saki is about Norman Gatsby, who's cheated by a young man about needing money. He tells Gatsby that he had set out to buy some soap and has now forgotten which hotel he's staying at. Initially, Gatsby is suspicious, but he later finds a bar of soap on the ground, which confirms the young man's story.

The themes in "Loser" include success, persistence, and conformity while the themes in "at dusk" include perception, deception, and guilt.

The loser is the story of a boy who was branded a loser by his classmates because of his poor performance in school and athletics. He was persistent and was eventually successful.

At Dusk is a poem about deception. It's hard to see people as they truly are at dusk. In about city, everyone is a stranger. The themes include perception, deception, and guilt.
