What caused the Cold War?<br> Written Response.
Licemer1 [7]

Answer:

The Cold War was a conflict between the two superpowers of the world at the time: the USA and the Soviet Union.

They were both racing to secure as many allies as possible due to mutual distrust and misunderstanding of motives.

Also, their ideologies were very, very different (the USA had capitalism and the Soviet Union had communism), which contributed towards the Cold War.

Ultimately, the Cold War was a period of puppet state wars, where both countries orchestrated wars elsewhere from home to try and weaken the other.

Also, it represented the rise of nuclear weapons, and the Cold War was full of pressure and fear that nuclear weapons would be used in war between the USSR and the USA.

Hope this helped!
