I was haunted by the fact that some more of Anne’s pages remained cast around on the floor in the hiding place. I was afraid to

go back up there, as Silberbauer had already checked on me several times. He’d just pop his head in, saying, “I’m just making sure you haven’t gone.” I said nothing by way of reply. He’d seen what he wanted, that I hadn’t gone anywhere. He’d turn and leave.
I was afraid to go behind the bookcase again. It was very hard for me to look at the rooms with the people gone. I couldn’t face going back upstairs

ICE Princess25 [194]

Answer:

Given below

Step-by-step explanation:

M is Mikey and B is Betty in,

Current ages:

M= x

B= 3x (cuz she is 3 times older)

After 5 years

M= x+5

B= 3x+5 (5 years added to present age)

It says the ages of Betty after 5 years (3x+5) will be twice as much as Mikey (2(X+5))

So,

3x+5 = 2(x+5)

3x+5 = 2x+10

3x -2x = 10-5

x = 5

Therefore,

The current ages are

Betty : 3x = 3*5 = 15

Mikey: 5 (x)

You can verify by checking with the criterias or clues given in the question.. hope this helps..mark as brainiest if this was helpful:)

Ramon earns $1,735 each month and pays $53.10 on electricity. To the nearest tenth of a percent, what perfect of ramons earnings
Alenkinab [10]

Answer:

\boxed{3.1 \, \%}

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for calculating percentage is

\text{Percentage} = \dfrac{\text{Part}}{\text{Whole}} \times 100 \, \%

The "part" is the electricity payment.

The "whole" is Ramon's earnings.

\begin{array}{rcl}\text{\% of earnings} & = & \dfrac{53.10}{1735} \times 100 \, \% \\\\& = & \mathbf{3.1 \, \%}\\\end{array}\\\boxed{\mathbf{3.1 \, \%}} \text{ of Ramon's earnings are on electricity}

Maddie told her friend that the product of two rational numbers is always rational. Which equation could she use to help support
lesya [120]

The equation that can be used to support her claim that product of two rational numbers is always rational is; C: 1/3 * 9

<h3>How to Identify Rational Numbers?</h3>

A rational number is a number that is expressed as the ratio of two integers, where the denominator should not be equal to zero

Option A) The square root of 2 is an irrational number because it cannot be given as the ratio of two integers.

Option B) π is an irrational number because you can't write it down as a non-infinite decimal. Thus this option is incorrect.

Option C) 1/3 * 9 = 3. This can be used to support her claim that product of two rational numbers is always rational because both numbers on left and right can be given as the ratio of two integers.

Option D) The square root of 3  is an irrational number because it cannot be given as the ratio of two integers.
