Hello!

Let's plug in the numbers into each function and see which one is true. We will use the  F(n) value of 11 and the n value of 2.

A. 11=6+5 True
B. 11=2+5 False
C.  11=8    False

Our answer is A. F(n)=3n+5

I hope this helps!

It's A. all you need to do is plug in the "n"-values for each equation and see if it is true. the only one that works is answer A.

What is the y coordinate of the point that divides the
svet-max [94.6K]

Answer:

the y coordinate is 5

Step-by-step explanation:

In the figure attached, the  directed line segment is shown.

J is located at (-3, 1) and K is located at (-8, 11)

run: x2 -x1 = -8 - (-3) = -5

rise: y2 - y1 = 11 - 1 = 10

Taking J as reference, the coordinate of the point that divides the  directed line segment from J to k into a ratio of 2:3 is:

c = 2/(2+3) = 0.4

(x1 + c*run, y1 + c*rise)

(-3 + 0.4*-5, 1+0.4*10)

(-5, 5)

Juliette [100K]

Answer:

The test statistic is t = 2.79

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question we are told that

    The population mean is \mu   = 59.3

    The sample size is  n  =  79

    The  sample mean is  \= x  = 62.4

    The  standard deviation is  \sigma  =  9.86

Generally the test statistics is mathematically represented as

            t =  \frac{\= x - \mu }{ \frac{ \sigma}{ \sqrt{n} } }

substituting values

          t =  \frac{ 62.2 -  59.3 }{ \frac{  9.86}{ \sqrt{ 79} } }

          t = 2.79
