Victor Frankenstein in his journey to make impressive medical and scientific discoveries gets to the point of believing he is untouchable and able to do whatever he wants and when he sees that his creation is not what he imagined and he feels ashamed of it because it is a reminder of his failure and wants to get rid of it while the creature only wants to find his place in the world knowing that Victor was his creator.
