1. Other people would most likely use our memberships to our chosen social group as a way to judge us.
For example, it does not matter if you're a model student at school, if people spot you hanging out with bikers and covering your body with tattoo, they would automatically perceive you as a delinquent.

2. Even though we often do not want to admit it, how other people think of us would actually affect how we think about ourselves in some way.
If the majority of other people in our society do not acknowledge us or our identity, we will much more likely to consider ourselves as a failure.

3. Yes, more often that we imagine.
It even payed a major factors in the cause of depression or suicide rates.
For example, in China, they record the official suicide rates are 22%. And from studies, about 17% of them are done because they consider themselves as a failure in society.

Write an email to your sister who has gone abroad for higher education mentioning the various positive changes that have occurre
Grace [21]

Answer:

An email to my sister about the various positive changes that have occurred in our society while she's abroad for studies.

Explanation:

From: ABCatyahoo.com

To: XYZatyahoo.com

Subject: An update about our society.

My dear sister,

I hope you are doing well. Everyone's doing fine and all miss you, especially mom. But we know how that is.

It has been a while that I wrote to you, especially about the changes in our society. And so, I thought it'll be a good chance to keep you updated about the new happenings in and around us.

Recently, there were some renovations around our apartment complex, and numerous parks were also created. Aside from that, there were numerous societal changes introduced by the state government, like giving free excess to parks, the gyms, the swimming pools, etc. Moreover, the electricity charges were waived for those households using less than 250 units, while those exceeding that limit are charged a lesser amount. It has come as a huge relief to everyone. The society also organizes seminars that are about awareness of some of the social practices that have become more of a discriminatory practice.

But evidently, there are some 'old-fashioned' parents who don’t believe or support the 'awareness' drive of society. But with the change in the world and its perspectives, it is also good that society is working hard to develop and be more approachable, more open, and available for the new generations.

That is all I can think of. But I will keep you updated if anything new comes up too. Take good care and do keep us posted too.

We miss you.

Your sister,

abc
