Throughout the text, the author creates tension. Which structural choice contributes most directly to tension?.
GaryK [48]

Hello. You did not enter the text to which this question refers, which makes it impossible for this question to be answered efficiently. However, I will try to help you in the best possible way.

The best structural choice to create tension in the text is one that promotes suspense. This is because suspense allows the reader not to know what will happen, and may come across something completely unpredictable that can be good or bad. A type of textual structure that can promote suspense and, consequently, tension is the descriptive structure, one the author describes elements that increase suspense and makes the reader anxious.

Which statement in this excerpt from Fever Pitch by Nick Hornby shows that the author learned to have high expectations in life
Verizon [17]
As for me, the third option C)I have always been accused of taking the things I love - football, of course, but also books and records - much too seriously, and I do feel a kind of anger when I hear a bad record, or when someone is lukewarm about a book that means a lot to me.) looks the most suitable and directly shows that the author learned to have high expectations in life only after he went to a
football game. And I suppose A)I'd been to public entertainments before, of course; I'd been to the cinema and the pantomime and to see my mother sing in the chorus of the White Horse Inn at the Town Hall.

Brut [27]

Answer: B. to give the reader a sense of how Hank Aaron experienced key moments

Explanation:

The most likely reason the author includes the perspective of Hank Aaron through quotes from his

memoir was to give the reader a sense of how Hank Aaron experienced key moment.

A memoir contains ones personal memories, some key moments in ones history and the author including Hank's perspective was to give readers an idea of some of the key moments in his life.

Write a composition of 350-400 words on one of the following:
son4ous [18]

Nowadays many couples decide to have only one child. But at the same time, there are also big families where there are a lot of children. Are there differences between growing up as an only child or with sisters and brothers? Firstly the main advantage of being an only child is that parents are more focused on you: they have only to take care of you and they don't have to spend time with other sons and daughters. What is more, is that an only child can establish a strong relationship with his parents. Secondly, they have more money to spend for you because, for instance, they have to pay only for one's studies and they have to buy just things for you and what have you. Finally, an only child doesn't have to share things with brothers or sisters: probably he could have his room, a private computer and he doesn't have to queue at the bathroom in the morning. On the other hand, an only child could be a little pampered because of all these parents concentrations: accustomed to having a lot of attention and to receiving all that he wants he could grow up in the wrong way. It's also true to say that for these reasons an only child could be repressed by his father and mother: it is a fact that frequently the first son has often less freedom than the others and probably for an only child is the same. What is more, is that an only child grows up a little more alone: he can't play with his brothers and sisters, he can't share the scoldings, and he can't know the relevance of the eternal brotherly love. In conclusion, being an only child has advantages and disadvantages but it cannot be denied that the main role is conducted by the parents: it's certainly relevant to the way only children are raised.
